Blast 'Em Bunnies is future release from Nnooo, and I got to play the Nintendo 3DS version at PAX East. The basic idea of the game is simple – blast bunnies. These are not your sweet, little bunnie rabbits, though. These bunnies are out to kill you, so you have no choice but to shoot them with fruits and veggies.
The controls are incredibly simple. You will move with either the circle-pad or motion controls, and you will fire with the R button. I even found it helpful to use both the circle-pad and motion together for precise movement. As the bunnies head toward you, you will turn in circles and look up and down to find them and shoot them. You're radar on the touch-screen helps you know where they are, and you will also encounter power-ups along the way.
Overall, it was quite fun, and I'm looking forward to checking it out when it releases. Nnooo mentioned that they hope to get the game out this year, and the final cost should be somewhere around $4.99 for the basic game on the eShop, but they will also release more levels and costume packs via DLC.
